Who says romance is dead? Despite their well documented thirst for publicity, “The Hills" stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt opted to elope in Mexico last week, in lieu of throwing a massive ceremony. How romantic, right? Intrepid gossip czar Perez Hilton broke the news this morning. Why, you ask, if they wanted the intimacy of elopement, did Heidi and Spencer sell wedding photos to US Weekly? Well folks, they’re still Heidi and Spencer.
And plus, their reasons for eloping may not all have been romantic. According to the US Weekly cover posted on Perezhilton.com, it could have more to do with Heidi’s mother not wanting her to marry Spencer. “Heidi defies her mom and runs away to wed,” reads the cover.
